Cute but Crazy

This puppy definitely gets the 'Puppy Crazies' sometimes. This morning, like most mornings, she howled, yelped, barked, for at least 45 minutes. "Um excuse me Little Miss Raya...I need to sleep... I have to get up in well 45 minutes for work...can you please please please stop?" Heidi says in desperation.  This is not just a morning event...last night she stared at me while I was making dinner and she just whined, wailed, and yapped for what seemed like forever.  For the most part (91% of the time) she is a good puppy but she has her moments.

I love her but she drives me bat-sh!t crazy sometimes.

Yes, I may be annoyed, aggravated, and a wee bit frustrated nevertheless I adore her!

Rain

Raya is not a fan of the rain...the sounds of thunder, the brightness of the lightning...she is puzzled by it all...staring out the window of the door.

What's out there?

We have a brand new screen door and Raya loves looking out at the world.  Here's a great picture Matt took of our little miss Raya.

Honk Honk

This morning I was about to take Raya to puppy day care and I put her in the car but then had to run back into the house for something. As I was coming out of the house I heard my car horn honk. Then again honk honk...I go into the garage and see little miss Raya in the drivers seat honking the horn. I laughed so hard. What a silly dog.

Ticks

Matt and I took Raya out to the forest preserve on Sunday afternoon for a long walk. Heidi stupidly walked through some tall grass. Silly silly girl! Ticks. Duh! Ticks. And we came home with lots of them.  Poor little pup had to deal with us searching her fur for those pesky little buggers.  We found quite a few.  We bought some medicine my sister (the vet) suggested and applied it immediately and this morning we found several dead ticks in her kennel.  I hope they are all gone now. I feel so bad. 

Sunbathing

Raya and Allie both love laying in the sun. It is quite cute to see them warming themselves in the sunlight.

Inch by Inch

So Raya wants to be wherever Allie is however Allie does not feel the same. So sometimes Raya has to inch her way over by Allie. Here Raya is on one side of the bed and Allie (not pictured)  is on the other side.

Raya is inching her way closer to Allie....oh and Allie is not happy! Look at Raya's face...its says "Allie love me, hang out with me, I just want to play!" Allie is like " Not in this lifetime puppy!"

After minutes of Allie growling trying to scare Raya off she gives up. Success! Both pups sleeping peacefully!

Four months old!

Puppy dog Raya is four months old today. She has grown so much since we first got her two months ago.

I so desperately want Raya and Allie to get along. The two of them together is bananas. It's pretty rare to have a quiet moment in the house. But sometimes they surprise me...like here.

Outside

Raya loves to eat everything while we take our walks...from rocks to sticks to leaves to beetles. Oh this puppy!

Big thanks to my sister, bro-n-law, kiddos and puppy dog Nula for taking care of Raya while Matt and I were on vacation.  I think she misses Nula....

Two dogs-One bed

So Raya likes Allie's bed and sometimes Allie gets mad that Raya is sleeping in it. I hope that these two little ladies get along soon. Our house is filled with lots barking and growling.  Here is a random somewhat quite moment...well from Raya that is...Allie being the growler here.
